In time for Dmitri Shostakovich’s 100th birthday on September 25, 2006, ECM reissued Keith Jarrett’s recording of the 24 Preludes and Fugues for piano. Originally recorded in 1991 it counts amongst the most significant of Jarrett’s interpretations of music from the ‘classical’ tradition.
